GWO Advanced Rescue Training Combined (SE-IN-GWO_ART)

Purpose

The aim of the course is to enable the partipant to perform entry-type injured person rescue operations including single rescuer rescue operations inside a WTG hub, spinner, blade, nacelle, tower and basement by using industry standard rescue equipment, rescue methods and techniques, exceeding those of GWO BST Working at Height.
GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) initial Combined consists of 2 GWO ART modules:
SE-P-50165 GWO ART Hub, Spinner & inside Blade (ART-H, which now includes Single Rescuer Hub, Spinner & inside Blade initial contents)
SE-P-50160 GWO ART Nacelle, Tower & Basement (ART-N, which now includes Single Rescuer Nacelle, Tower & Basement initial contents)

Objectives

After having successfully completed this course, the participant can:
  • - Take responsibility to determine rescue and evacuation strategy, performing rescue operations in a WTG, hub, spinner and inside the blade and nacelle, tower and basement.
  • - Apply clear communication and guidance to other emergency responderes (e.g. vessel or ambulance crew) including coordinating the handover of an injured person.
  • - Perform descending and ascending rescue operations acting as the rescue team coordinator and acting as single rescuer from a WTG hub, spinner, inside a blade and from an enclosed space in a WTG nacelle, tower or basement to a primary assemble area (ground or transition piece) or a secondary assembly area (vessel), using industry standard rescue equipment.
  • - Assess and determine single rescuer rescue strategy (relevant rescue methods, technique, certified equipment, and how to organize the rescue efforts and incident scene) for selected rescue scenarios in a WTG; hub,spinner, inside a blade or nacelle, tower and basement

Who should attend?

The course is intended for personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields and will have their duties in a wind turbine environment.
Personnel that may need or is selected to perform advanced rescue or lead an advanced rescue operation, where GWO Advanced Rescue Training may mitigate the identified risks.
The course is applicable for personnel working in SGRE WTG Zone 2, 2A and 4 - according to valid Rescue Preparedness Procedures.

Prerequisites

Valid GWO BST Working at Heights
Valid GWO BST Manual Handling
Valid GWO BST First Aid
Participants must be physically and medically fit and capable of fully participating in the training
Personal weight limit fully equipped max. 136 kg /299,8 lbs (incl. all PPE, equipment, clothing, etc.)
