Commissioning and Troubleshooting SICS 1 & 2 Controller (SE-P-08595)

Purpose

The overall aim of the course is to provide system knowledge and skills for the participants to understand the operation of the SICS controller system in Siemens technology turbines, in order to perform commissioning and troubleshooting.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course the participants must be able to:
Knowledge
  • - Explain how to find the relevant documentation
  • - Explain the functionality of the turbine network
  • - Explain the functionality of the turbine control system communications
  • - Explain the function of the Programmable Logical controller (PLC) modules
  • - Explain the function of the turbine safety circuits
Skills
  • - Analyze the relevant documentation
  • - Demonstrate the use of upload and diagnostic tools
  • - Demonstrate the use of the Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • - Able to test the turbine safety circuits
  • - Demonstrate troubleshooting in control systems
  • - Demonstrate commissioning tasks related to the control systems
Behavior
  • - Work following established safety procedures
  • - Apply Troubleshooter philosophy
