SGTT - Zero Energy Verification Incl. LOTO Awareness Training (Siemens & Senvion Technology) (SE-P-50564)

Purpose

The overall purpose of the course is to provide practical training in the Siemens Gamesa Energy Isolations Procedures (EIP) used to perform Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic parts and enhance electrical safety and support technicians to perform electrical work in a safe way through the use of different types of exercises performed individually and/or in small groups the ability to safely and competently work in an environment under LOTO is achieved.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course the participants are able to:
  • - Understand how to identify the documentation and equipment needed to correctly perform LOTO on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic parts
  • - Perform Energy Isolation Procedures (EIP) correctly on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic parts
  • - Understand the importance of why LOTO is performed
Adapt the new safety culture when performing electrical work
  • - Identify and test the equipment needed for performing zero energy state
  • - Perform safe measurement on live sources according to the safety standards
  • - Determine if an electrical system is live or in Zero Energy State by performing a voltage test
  • - Perform a correct zero energy state procedure on a live system
  • - Identify what Personal Protective Equipment must be used when performing electrical work in a wind turbine
  • - Perform a Risk Assessment according to the safety standards
Upon completion of the course the participant have obtained the following competencies:
  • - Apply SGRE Energy Isolation Procedures (EIP) to perform LOTO of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic parts in a Wind Turbine environment
