Advanced Rescue & Blade Rescue Horizontal Refresher (SE-P-01560)
Purpose
When working in wind turbines one may face difficult and complicated rescue situations, should accidents occur. The purpose of this course is to update course participants' knowledge, skills and competencies with regards to Advanced Rescue. This course is geared towards employees needing to renew their Advanced Rescue certificates.Objectives
Knowledge - after the course the participant will have renewed knowledge on:- - How to approach rescue situations in wind turbines
- - Safe and correct rescue from Zone 2 and 3 in wind turbines
- - Siemens Gamesa Rescue Kit and the Basket Stretcher
- - The Spec Pack used for Task Specific Work Assignment (TSWA) Blade Rescue
- - How the Siemens Gamesa Rescue Kit is used in the spinner in Zone 2 and 3 in the G4 WTG if applicable
- - How the Siemens Gamesa Rescue Kit is used in Helicopter Rescue in WTG
- - Demonstrate proper use of the Cervical Collar
- - Demonstrate harnessing on an unconscious person
- - Demonstrate proper attachment of Casualty on a spine board in both horizontal and vertical positions
- - Demonstrate proper attachment of Casualty on a Basket Stretcher
- - Demonstrate proper use of the 6:1 Pulley System
- - Do a safe and correct rescue from hub, from Zone 2 in WTG
- - Do a safe and correct rescue from yaw/main bearing in Zone 2 in WTG
- - Do a safe and correct rescue of casualty in nacelle in Zone 1 in WTG
- - Do a safe and correct outside evacuation from Zone 1 in WTG
- - Do a safe and correct inside evacuation from Zone 1 in WTG
- - Do a safe and correct rescue from cellar in Zone 2 in WTG
- - Do a safe and correct rescue from the blades in Zone 2A and/or 3 in WTG
Passed the "Advanced Rescue Refresher" and renewed their authorization to access zone 2 and 2A and 3 in Siemens Gamesa turbines

Recommended for Siemens Gamesa employees that wish to extend their working areas in Siemens Gamesa Turbines from Zone 1 to Zone 2 and 2A and Zone 3 and that require the skills and knowledge to perform advanced rescue.Prerequisites
