Advanced Rescue & Blade Rescue Horizontal (SE-P-01550)

Purpose

When working in wind turbines you will face difficult and complicated rescue situations in case accidents occur. The purpose of the course is therefore, through theoretic and practical education, to give people who work in zones 1, 2, 2A, and 3 in wind turbines simple and specific tools to approach complicated rescue situations, the knowledge, skills and competences with the Siemens Gamesa Rescue Kit, to do advanced rescue in zone 1, 2, 2A, and 3 in wind turbines. These advanced rescue skills are used at the point of extraction post first aid treatment

Objectives

Knowledge - After the course the participant is able to:
  • - Demonstrate how to approach rescue situations in wind turbines
  • - Explain how the Spec Pak is used for blade rescue from zone 3
  • - Explain how the Siemens Gamesa rescue kit is used in restricted access situations
  • - Explain how the Siemens Gamesa Rescue Kit is used in spinner rescue in G4
  • - Explain how the Siemens Gamesa Rescue Kit is used in helicopter rescue in WTG
  • - Recognize what equipment in Siemens Gamesa is used for rescue up operations and how it is used
Skills - After the course the participant is able to:
  • - Demonstrate correct use of the Cervical Collar
  • - Demonstrate harnessing on an unconscious person
  • - Demonstrate correct packaging of a patient on a Spine-board in both horizontal and vertical positions
  • - Demonstrate correct packaging of a patient on a basket Stretcher
  • - Demonstrate correct use of the 6:1 Pulley System including the new Cresto pulley
  • - Demonstrate temporary rescue procedure in the event of pulley system failure
  • - Conduct a safe and correct rescue from blade in zone 2 and/or 3 in WTG
  • - Conduct a safe and correct rescue from hub, from zone 2 in WTG
  • - Conduct a safe and correct rescue from yaw/main bearing in zone 2 in WTG
  • - Conduct a safe and correct rescue of casualty in nacelle in zone 1 in WTG
  • - Conduct a safe and correct outside evacuation from zone 1 in WTG
  • - Conduct a safe and correct inside evacuation from zone 1 in WTG
  • - Conduct a safe and correct rescue from under the floor in zone 1
  • - Conduct a safe and correct rescue from cellar in zone 2 in WTG
Qualified to perform Rescue from Zones 1 - 3
Perform advanced rescue in zone 1, 2, 2A, and 3 in a Siemens Gamesa wind turbine, and thereby get access to 1, 2, 2A, and 3 in all Siemens Gamesa wind turbines.

Who should attend?

Recommended for Siemens Gamesa employees that wish to extend their working areas in Siemens Gamesa Turbines from Zone 1 to Zone 2 and 2A and Zone 3 and that require the skills and knowledge to perform advanced rescue.

SE-P-50040 GWO BST Working at Heights
Participants must be physically and medically fit to participate in training.
Personal weight limit fully equipped max. 136 kg /299,8 lbs (incl. all PPE, equipment, clothing, etc.)
