Purpose
The overall purpose of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge and understanding of Region North America Environmental Health and Safety programs, standards, and practices.Objectives
Using FP 00027 Ap. 1, participants will be able to:- - Describe potential hazards and determine proper ways to mitigate risks.
- - Complete a Pre-Task plan.
- - Understand a risk assessment (Job Hazard Assessment).
- - Understand a hot work permit and identify all requirements for hot work.
- - Recognize, understand, and use an EIP on site.
- - Identify the requirements of a permit and non-permit required confined space.
- - Demonstrate the calibration and use of the BW Technologies GasAlert Max XT II in a confined space and identify any potential hazards.
- - Recognize the different types of energy and match each with its corresponding hazards.
- - Define line of fire and recognize how it applies to working in a wind turbine and incident prevention.
- - Identify purpose of at least 5 items contained within the Emergency Response Plan.
