Introduction to LOTO (SE-P-50562)

Purpose

To raise awareness about the LOTO Process, the importance of performing LOTO, and the risks associated with not performing LOTO correctly.

Objectives

  • - Describe the minimum requirements concerning awareness, knowledge and adoption of safe working practices for hazardous energies.
  • - Describe the risks associated with working with hazardous energies and the correct use of personal protective equipment to mitigate these risks.
  • - Recall the different types of LOTO and the use of Zero Energy Verification tooling.
  • - Demonstrate how to follow Energy Isolation Documents.
  • - Demonstrate correct application of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical LOTO, including Zero Energy Verification procedures.

Who should attend?

The course is intended for Siemens Gamesa employees, customers and 3rd parties scheduled to work in an environment where Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) is required.
