Commissioning & Troubleshooting Siemens Geared WTC3 Controller (SE-P-08599)

Purpose

The overall aim of the course is to provide system knowledge and skills for the participants to understand the operation of the control system in Siemens Geared technology turbines, in order to perform commissioning and troubleshooting.

  • - Explain the functionality of the turbine network
  • - Explain the functionality of the turbine control system communications
  • - Explain the function of the I/O boards

  • - Analyze the relevant documentation
  • - Demonstrate the use of upload and diagnostic tools
  • - Demonstrate the use of the Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • - Demonstrate troubleshooting on the control systems
  • - Demonstrate commissioning tasks related to the control systems

  • - Work following established safety procedures
  • - Apply Troubleshooter philosophy

Prerequisites

  • - SE-P-85400 General Electrical Awareness eLearning course (L-AUS)
  • - From 01 September 2026: SE-P-09915 Getting Started in Virtual Reality, SE-P-09844 Technical Product Training Siemens Geared Platform (TPT SG Platform) and SE-P-09900 Commissioning and Troubleshooting Core Course
The participants should have a functional laptop with administrative access or iPad, for accessing documentation.
The participants should be able to read and understand the course language.
