Basic Technician (BT) to Competent Technician (CT) Logbook (OF-SV-00001-001)

Purpose

Required for all newly trained Basic Technicians (BT’s) when deployed to their first operational site. The CT Competent Technician level is a way that we can separate a newly qualified BT to one that has been fully inducted on site and understands how to operate within the turbine and site-specific operational environment. Although not officially part of the SWTCF it is mapped into profiles as part of training web sub competency profiles and needs to be completed before starting the MT Logbook.

Objectives

The purpose of this logbook is to ensure a technician receives a comprehensive introduction to Health, Safety, Environmental legislation, wind turbine operation and control, site procedures and knowledge at the site they are working on.

Who should attend?

OF SV: Required for all newly trained Basic Technicians (BT’s) when deployed to their first operational site.

Notes

Must be observed and evaluated by a Team lead / Authorized Technician, to confirm that the technician fully understands all sections and can demonstrate all knowledge in all sections. Final sign off should be completed by a site based Senior Technician (ST) / Technical Supervisor.
Once the final signature has been given, the logbook will be set to completed and count towards the employees profile in SGTrainingweb
