Generic Crane User Course (SE-P-06697)

Purpose

The overall purpose of the course is to provide technicians with the generic knowledge and skills required to operate the variety of cranes and hoists in Siemens Gamesa turbines

Objectives

Upon completion of the course the participants are able to:
  • - Recall the existence of the country specific rules and legislations and the SGRE rules and regulations
  • - Perform pre-operational checks of the compact crane and the additional lifting attachments
  • - Explain how to use the different lifting attachments
  • - Explain how to use the control handles
  • - Describe the use and after use parking of the compact crane
  • - Operate the HIAB SWP2 / SWP2-V4 cranes according to the manufacturer's rules and regulations and with respect to the applicable manuals and work instructions
  • - Explain how similar compact cranes shall be operated based on the knowledge and skills acquired from the above generic course
Upon completion of the course the participants have obtained the generic qualifications required to operate the following cranes or similar SGRE approved cranes in Siemens Gamesa turbines:
Davit, jib and compact cranes:
  • - HIAB
  • - Palfinger
  • - HMF
  • - Demag
  • - Vicinay
Rail systems:
  • - Demag
  • - Vicinay
  • - Amenabar
Chain hoists:
  • - Liftket
  • - Vicinay
  • - Demag

Who should attend?

The course is intended for Siemens Gamesa technicians who are going to operate different cranes and hoists in Siemens Gamesa turbines.

Due to the nature of the content and the learning purpose it is recommended that the participant has the competence acquired on the following training modules, prior to course commencement.
