Onshore Operation During Installation. (SE-P-09412)

Purpose

The overall purpose of the course is to enable the technician to operate the Onshore Siemens Gamesa Wind Turbine during installation in a safe manner using the relevant documentation and selected tools provided by SGRE.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course the participants should be able to
  • - Able to navigate documentation system and find relevant documentation
  • - Describe turbine design
  • - Explain interconnection between the hydraulic and mechanical systems of the turbine
  • - Describe the complete installation process
  • - Perform LOTO related to the installation process and safety documentation
  • - Demonstrate understanding of the procedures during operation and erection of the tower including but not limited to torqueing and bolt tensioning, working with EIPs, securing the wind turbine and setting it to idle mode.

Who should attend?

The course is intended for SGRE employees and 3rd parties performing Onshore on-site installation, according to the Onshore Assembly Manual and the SGRE Safety Guidelines

SE-P-85400 SWP General Electrical Awareness
SE-P-05600 Electrical Zero Energy Training OR SE-P-05200 US Regional Safety Compliance Training
  • - Recommended:
In SGRE Onshore it is not mandatory to hold a certificate within Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) But technicians based in UK training center will of course apply to local legislation.
