Commissioning and Troubleshooting Direct Drive Technology Platform (SE-P-08558)

Purpose

The overall purpose of the course is for the participant to understand, demonstrate and apply system knowledge, to perform commissioning and troubleshooting tasks, specific to a Direct Drive technology turbine.

Objectives

Knowledge:
  • - Identify the commissioning tasks for the various systems
  • - Point-out the interconnection between the electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • - Explain the theory and operation of the various systems
Skills:
  • - Illustrate the operational process of the converter
  • - Demonstrate practical troubleshooting on turbine systems using the 7 steps process
  • - Use the correct tools for testing an induced fault based on the testing strategy created based on the information given
  • - Identify the required technical documentation needed to analyze and test system fault
Behavior:
  • - Work following established safety procedures
  • - Apply Troubleshooter philosophy
Theory and practice in %
  • - 30/70

  • - Competent Technician Commissioning and/or Troubleshooter

Course prerequisites are:
  • - SE-P-85400 SGTT - General Electrical Awareness eLearning course
  • - SE-P-08595 C&T SICS I&II Controller Course
  • - SE-P-09900 C&T Core
Recommended courses:
