VR Generic Crane User (SE-P-06720)
Purpose
The objective of this module is to empower participants, via theoretical and hands-on education, to guarantee safety consciousness during the use of cranes and hoists in service operations, and to ensure that wind industry personal can operate common variants of fixed cranes and hoists in the onshore and offshore wind industry, in accordance with manufacturers' manuals, pertinent documentation, and laws. Upon successful completion of this Crane and Hoist Basic User Module, the learners will be capable of assuming the role of a basic user, operating common kinds of fixed cranes and hoists in Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) with safety as a priority.Objectives
Recall the existence of the country specific rules and legislations and the Siemens Gamesa rules and regulations- - Recall how to seek information of the actual country specific rules
- - Retrieve the necessary site-specific rules and regulations
- - Point out the basic components on a compact crane
- - Describe the overall functionality of the hydraulic systems
- - Explain the crane capacity from the capacity plates/manufacturer's manual
- - Describe various security measures and systems that contribute to safe working methods
- - Perform a pre-operational check according to legal requirements and crane manufacturer's checklist
- - Recall the legislation requirements for lifting attachments
- - Describe the attached impact on the crane capacity
- - Describe the general attachment safety issues
- - Identify the use of control handles for different compact cranes
- - Describe lifting techniques and regulations
- - Plan a lifting activity with respect to safety, capacity, and environment
- - Operate the cranes
- - Describe the manufacturers after use parking regulations
Who should attend?
The course is intended for Siemens Gamesa technicians who are going to operate different cranes and hoists in Siemens Gamesa wind turbines.Prerequisites
Course prerequisite is successfully completion of:• Introduction to lifting bags (SE-P-85695)
It is recommended to have completed:
• GWO Slinger Signaler (SE-P-50440)
Notes
If the practical part of the course is carried out in a lab/garage/turbine environment it must be facilitating one of the following fully operational cranes- - HIAB SWP2/SWP2-V4
- - HMF 150T and 265T2-M including chain hoist
- - Palfinger PCWM 3300
- - HMF 333T
