The purpose of this eLearning is to provide the participant with the basic knowledge of hazardous energies and LOTO procedures, giving them an understanding of how to achieve a safe and controlled working environment. The following topics are covered: *Introduction to LOTO and Hazardous Energies *Isolation Documents, LOTO Process and Reporting *LOTO Devices, PPE, and Zero Energy Verification *Review and Reflection *Assessment

Objectives

  • - Describe the minimum requirements concerning awareness, knowledge and adoption of safe working practices for hazardous energies.
  • - Describe the risk associated with working with hazardous energies and the correct use of personal protective equipment to mitigate these risks.
  • - Recall the different types of LOTO and the use of Zero Energy Verification tooling

The course is intended for Siemens Gamesa employees, customers and 3rd parties who work in or around wind turbines.
