GWO BST Working at Heights (SE-P-50040)

Purpose

The overall purpose of the course is: *The purpose of this course is to enable participants to use personal protective equipment, work safely at height and perform basic rescue operations from height in a remote wind turbine environment.

Objectives

After having successfully completed this course, the participants can:
  • - Take responsibility when working at height using personal protective equipment and performing basic rescue operations from height in a remote wind turbine environment.

Who should attend?

The course is intended for personnel who will be working in the wind industry and will have their duties in a wind turbine environment. The aim is to enable the participants to use basic personal protective equipment, work safely at heights and perform comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a wind turbine environment.

Prerequisites

All Delegates participating in this training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating.
Delegates shall sign a statement that they are medically fit to participate and they do not suffer from any medical illness or are under influence of any narcotic substance or alcohol.
Personal weight limit fully equipped max. 136 kg /299,8 lbs (incl. all PPE, equipment, clothing, etc.)

Notes

Upon successful completion of this course the participants are qualified and competent to work at heights and perform basic rescue from Rescue Zone 1 (in accordance with SWP rescue zone, PRO 05.17).

24 months
