Offshore Lockout / Tagout training for LoTo instructed person (OF-4014)

Purpose

To provide safety from the system when using an EIP when POI are applied and/or when POI are temporary removed for testing or temporary operation.

Objectives

1. LOTO instructed persons, Electrical (UP 8206) has awareness of the required Work Package system steps/requirements and their related risk of harm. Technician with relevant competency profile (PWTCF) and/or special product training who enables him/her to control the risks and the technical challenges in the task and is capable of supervising other team members.
2. LOTO instructed persons, Hydraulic (UP8207) has awareness of the required Work Package system steps/requirements and their related risk of harm. Technician with relevant competency profile (PWTCF) and/or special product training who enables him/her to control the risks and the technical challenges in the task and is capable of supervising other team members.
3. LOTO instructed persons, for Access (UP8208) has awareness of the required Work Package system steps/requirements and their related risk of harm. Technician with relevant competency profile (PWTCF) and/or TSWA who enables him/her to control the risks and the technical challenges

Contents

- To identify find the right EIP for the planned work.
- Responsibility for the EIP in the place of the work
- Responsibility for the persons working in the area where EIP is used.
- Responsibility for the use of group locks, personal locks and other LOTO equipment when working under an EIP.
- How to place a Personal Lock on the Group Lock Box or Multi-Lock Device on the Point of Isolation (POI) used under the LOTO Procedure before any work.
- How to report any violations of the procedure, or any unusual circumstances detected.

Who should attend?

Primarily technicians with a PWTCF /WTCF profile, or technical staff who needs to perform lockout / tag out
