Purpose
Introduce the participant to Wind Turbine functionality and technical documentation in order to empower the technician to handle actions associated with the heavy lift operations in a safe, effective, and cost-efficient mannerObjectives
- - Apply knowledge of turbine systems, and Siemens Gamesa Renewables Energy technical documentation, to the preparation and return to service tasks required when performing heavy lift operations.
- - Explain technical and safety guidelines.
- - Explain heavy lift tasks to prepare for leading a crew for relevant component exchanges.

The learning objectives focus on understanding the location and use of various heavy lift and safety documentation, as well as the basic layout and functionality of SGRE technology turbines and their main components.It emphasizes the importance of safety precautions when working with DFIG and Full Converter setups, as well as the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) required for electrical and hydraulic systems.
The objectives highlight the need to comprehend electrical isolation methods, the differences between normal and service usage, and the ability to navigate turbine control cabinets and hydraulic systems safely. Overall, the training aims to equip employees with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and effective operations in their roles.
